Director Sarah Kazmi belongs to First 5 Contra Costa's Professional Development Program and is dedicated to the development of quality early childhood programs. She consults with the Child Care Council as a Peer Mentor, wherein she shares her knowledge and expertise with other programs which are currently seeking accreditation. As an accreditation observer for the NAFCC, she is also qualified to go out and conduct final deciding observations for these programs. In addition, Ms. Kazmi has also completed the training for the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and is a certified assessor. The Academy has been chosen to serve as a demonstration site for the Child Care Council's ELDP program.
