The Academy's comprehensive Kindergarten Readiness program consists of Reading, Sign Language, Spanish, Yoga and more. The children thrive in a low teacher/child ratio environment. The Academy uses a Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum which focuses on the intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth of each child. LMA also celebrates social and cultural diversity by offering a variety of multicultural, non-stereotyping materials and activities that foster each child's self-concept and self-esteem. Little Munchkins is kindergarten-preparatory: children are encouraged to be receptive to learning, sharing, expressing their feelings and needs, and following directions. The Academy is a designated First 5 Contra Costa "Preschool Makes a Difference" Preschool. |
